Treasure Island Events

Treasure Island sponsors a few festivals and events which go hand in hand with enjoying its beautiful sunsets. The most popular event in Treasure Island, Florida is called Sanding Ovations. This festival involves master sand sculpturers construcing castles on the beach. Of course there is music, food, and fireworks.

TI Bulletin

• The sun will set the next few weeks at between 5:45 and 6:15 PM each night.
• The Treasure Island Drum Circle is every Sunday. It starts about three hours before sunset and ends at sunset. Drummers of all ages are welcome. (See the dedicated page on this site.)

Sanding Ovations
November - The weekend before Thanksgiving

The annual sand scuplture contest on the beach behind the brand new Treasure Island Beach Resort and the Bilmar Beach Resort. Three days of live music, food, crafts, sand, and sunsets.

Holiday Boat Parade

Numerous boats decorate for the holidays and parade through the waterways of Treasure Island.

   

   

Treasure Island Kite Festival
January - MLK Weekend

Come out to the Annual Treasure Island Kite Festival. Saturday and Sunday enjoy a sky filled with big and small colorful kites on the beach behind the Thunderbird Beach Resort and Treasure Island Beach Resort. This year the Eastern League Sport Kite Association will also sanction and judge the Treasure Island Sport Kite Championship, which will attract both novice and expert kite flyers from all over the United States. You will also find that kites make for an excellent foreground to the beautiful sunsets.
